As in the first Muri Competition, the prizes for oboe and bassoon will be donated by Dr. Franz Käppeli, founder and CEO of medica. In accordance with The Muri Competition’s goal of a long-term commitment to young talents, the prizes will not only consist of a one-time cash payment. Instead, a major part of the prizes will take the form of a scholarship.
In 2019 also the fourth to sixth place wins a prize.
Prizes per Instrument
- 1st prize: CHF 50'000.-*
- 2nd prize: CHF 25'000.-*
- 3d prize: CHF 15'000.-*
- places 4 - 6: CHF 3'000.-
* the prizes are divided into a cash amount and a scholarship
All prizes will be awarded by the respective juries.
In addition, various special prizes and concert invitations will be offered.
